Situated in the heart of New Milton – right next to the railway station – New Miltan is a relaxed and friendly tanning studio and offers a pleasant departure from other high street salons. From the minute you meet the owner Annette and experience the uniquely furnished facilities (courtesy of The Art of Salvage), you know that you’re somewhere special.
With two stand up tanning beds, two lie-down tanning beds all with Collatan tubes, two Vibr8 Oscillation training machines and a full range of health/fitness products, New Miltan offers the complete tanning experience.
And you’re in safe hands: New Miltan is a member of The Sunbed Association UK and Ireland and strictly adheres to its rules on safe tanning and health instruction.
The Sunbed Association promotes the use of sunbeds for health purposes through their LUV VitD campaign.

Tanning
New Miltan has four individual tanning rooms all fitted with Collatan tubes, two with Ultrasun i8 stand-up power towers and two with lie-down Ultrasun Q10s with added facial/shoulder tanners. Each cubicle has a large changing area complete with toiletries, eye protection, mirrors, towels and a stool.
All of New Miltan’s tanning beds adhere to the 0.3 standard. This is the regulation governing the maximum UV output of sunbeds. It is approved by the EU and complies with all British/European consumer safety regulations. A 0.3 tanning session delivers the same tanning effect as the mid-day Mediterranean summer sun but without the risk of burning. A sunbed with a UV output above this level is deemed as ‘unsafe’.

Tanning

The revolutionary technology of Whole Body Vibration (WBV) machines is backed by solid science. The machine’s oscillation platform causes your body to fight against its own balance by contracting your muscles at a rate which promotes fat burning.
There are three programmes to choose from:
1. For rehabilitation and mobility. Because the oscillation machine creates heat in the body’s joints with zero impact, its particularly beneficial for conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, MS and other mobility issues.
2. For weight loss and fat reduction.
3. For toning and muscle building. By creating faster muscle contractions this programme promotes muscle tone rather than weight loss.
